A Message from Andy McPhee

Dear ,

Greetings, hope this note finds you well. I’m writing today to tell you that as of September 30, 2016, I’ll be retired.

I’ve been in publishing now for 30 years, and I’ve enjoyed nearly every one of them. It’s time now to start a new phase of life, and I’m excited by the prospects. I’ve met a huge number of people over the years and have had many close relationships, relationships that I cherish greatly. Always with change it’s hardest to say goodbye to so many wonderful people.

I wish to thank everyone who has “liked” my page and posts. I am deeply indebted to our relationship. As I say goodbye, my colleagues at F.A. Davis want you to know that they’re here to support you and continue that relationship. So, from October 1 onward, I ask that you take your questions, comments, and jokes to the F.A. Davis team. Like or follow the F.A. Davis company page for a chance to win a complete set of our Medical Assisting products!

I am sincerely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you, and I wish you nothing but success, good health, and constant happiness wherever life may lead you.

Warmest regards,
Andy McPhee

Florence Nightingale Give-A-Way!

We know Florence Nightingale best as the founder of modern nursing but Barbara Dossy, author of Florence Nightingale: Mystic, Visionary, Healer, suggests that is only one side of her many faceted life. Dossy does a fantastic job at illustrating Nightingale’s magnificent legacy. Here are some of our favorite quotes from the book:

“Nightingale’s vision has inspired me in a deeper, richer and more compassionate view of nursing than I had ever conceived. I believe this awareness is valuable not only for nurses, but for anyone who has ever been drawn to ease the pain and suffering of another.”

“By her uncompromising, shining example, she invites each of us to find our meaning and purpose in our own individual journey through life.”

“May Florence Nightingale change your life, as she has mine.”
